is it really that hard?

Apparently it is much harder than I had realized to flush the toilet. I say this because everywhere I go lately, I am struck with the misfortune of walking into at least one stall in the public restroom with an unflushed toilet. To top it off, I think that the nastiness of the contents in the toilet must be directly related to the person's inability to flush it. Ugh.
